Kenny Got Work Named 2023 NBA 2K League Western Conference All-Star

SAN FRANCISCO – Warriors Gaming Squad forward Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey and head coach Mike Newton have been selected to participate in the third annual NBA 2K League All-Star Game, the league announced today. Hailey and Newton will make their first career All-Star appearances for the Western Conference.

Hailey averaged 14.6 points and shot .796 from the three-point line over 18 appearances in 5v5 games (all starts) in the 2023 season. During the 2020 season, Hailey was named NBA 2K League MVP with Raptors Uprising GC after averaging 35.3 points and 8.3 assists per game. The forward was also named MVP of THE TIPOFF and THE TURN, and was selected to the All-2K League First Team and All-Defensive Team in 2020. The Memphis native later won the Fan Engagement Award during the same season.

Newton completed his fourth season as head coach for Warriors Gaming Squad in 2023, where he became the first coach in franchise history to win a NBA 2K League Championship after leading the team to a 14-4 record in 5v5 play and 59-51 record in 3v3 play. Prior to the 2023 season, Newton has led Warriors Gaming Squad to four final fours with the team making the playoffs every year since 2019.

Joining Hailey on the Western Conference All-Star team are: Anthony “Ant” Costanzo (Pistons GT), Mason “JohhnyRed” Bracken (Bucks Gaming), Connor “Connor” Hardin (Pistons GT), and Ja’Ron “Bagmotion” Baylor (Pistons GT).

The third annual NBA 2K League All-Star Game will take place on Friday, September 22, at 4 p.m. PST at NBA Headquarters in Manhattan in New York City and will be broadcast on Stadium and the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels. The event will include both 5v5 and 3v3 gameplay formats and will award a total of $30,000 to participants.

Warriors Gaming Squad is one of 25 teams in the NBA 2K League and one of 22 teams owned by NBA franchises.
