Warriors Gaming Squad Wins 2024 NBA 2K League THE TIPOFF Tournament

SAN FRANCISCO – Warriors Gaming Squad (WGS), the NBA 2K League affiliate team of the Golden State Warriors, won THE TIPOFF Tournament on Saturday, May 25, following a 2-0 series sweep against Raptors Uprising GC. With the win, the Warriors have become the first franchise in league history to win all three NBA 2K League 5v5 tournaments (THE TIPOFF, THE TURN, and THE TICKET) and have completed THE BANNER CHAIN.

Point guard Charlie “CB13” Bostwick was named THE TIPOFF MVP after averaging 23.8 points and 9.6 assists per game and shooting 60.8% from the three-point line throughout the tournament. In the frontcourt, Jeremy “Seese” Seese averaged 10.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game, while center Jaden “Nay” Bhopal averaged 18.4 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Shooting guard Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser averaged 15 points, 7.9 assists, and a league-leading 2.6 steals per game. Forward Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey, the tournament’s MVP in 2020, averaged 10.9 points per game while shooting 72.6% from the field throughout the tournament. Bostwick and Nasser are the first players in NBA 2K League history to complete the 5v5 Banner Chain and win a NBA 2K League Championship.
Led by first-year head coach Jordan “Len” Ross, Warriors Gaming finished the 2024 NBA 2K League THE TIPOFF Tournament with a record of 5-1 in group play and an overall 11-1 record. En route to the finals, WGS defeated Pistons GT 2-0 in the quarterfinals and claimed a 2-0 victory over Bucks Gaming in the semifinals of the tournament, mirroring the team’s Western Conference playoff run from 2023.
Warriors Gaming Squad is one of 25 teams in the NBA 2K League and one of 22 teams owned by NBA franchises. The team has made the playoffs every year since 2019 and made four conference finals before winning the franchise’s first NBA 2K League Championship in 2023.
